I felt groggy as the evening progressed, and time seemed to go slower as I helped Marlee into bed. Once I sat on the couch, I crossed my legs, and opened my project, wanting to make sure the essay was perfect for tomorrow.

The words on the page seemed to cross, tying up as I went a bit cross-eyed.

It’s gonna have to do, I thought to myself quietly as my head began to throb.

I rushed to the bathroom and splashed cool water on my face. My stomach rolled around, and it felt as if I’d eaten dog food. With the mental image of that wet slime, I hunched over the toilet and gagged slightly. The poison that was my stomach, removed itself quickly.

I groaned at the feeling as my stomach continued to work itself up, over and over again.

It was going to be a long night it seemed.
